I spent a wonderful day yesterday school shopping with Doreen. The school sent a teacher with her so we'd know where to go and how much to pay. I don't think Doreen has been out of the orphanage much -- see seemed overwhelmed by the experience. :) But it was a great day.
I leave in twenty minutes for Kitgum in the north. Thanks to all who are praying for me and my family. I know many of you are concerned for my safety, but (a) we will be flying in and out, so there is little risk we will see any rebel activity, and (b) more importantly, our God is an awesome God, great in power and mighty to save.
I will not be able to blog from there but hope to phone in a daily report to Heidi, who will update the blog with any news.
A long-overdue shout out to Heidi, Anna, Andrew, everyone at NCC, my Wild at Heart brothers, the men of the Georgetown Bible Study, Heidi's supportive friends and the Johnny, Wendy, Dennis, Abby and Joseph -- thanks for reading, praying, and encouraging, and apologies to everyone else whom I've not named.
Back Monday.
